Duane A. Pratt, Sr. age 93, of Berwick, Illinois, passed away at 4:15 am at the Roseville Nursing and Rehab Center in Roseville, Illinois on June 1, 2024. Duane was born on August 4, 1930 in Berwick, Illinois and is the son of Arnold Meachum and Hazel Leona Underwood Pratt. Duane attended the Berwick grade school and attended the Avon High School. He was married to Louise (Kirby) Pratt on August 12, 1950 in Berwick at the home of her parents. Duane has been a farmer in grain and livestock all of his life, farming his family's Centennial Farm. He drove a school bus for Cavanaugh Bus Service in Monmouth for twenty-five years. Duane also served on the Roseville school board for many years. He has been a member of and a Deacon in the Berwick Baptist Church and for forty years has been a volunteer fireman for the Abingdon Fire Protection District, the Berwick Unit.
