Dean Edward Whiteman, known affectionately as Dino, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, in Dayton, Nevada at the age of 77.Dean was born on November 21, 1946, in Monmouth, IL the son of Harold and Lillian (Potter) Whiteman.   He was raised and educated in Warren County, graduating from Warren High School with the class of 1964.  Following his graduation from High School, Dean enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Cryptographic Accountant. After his military service he earned his Bachelors of Science degree at Western Illinois University in 1972.Dean resided in Peoria, Illinois and served as a policeman in the City of Peoria for 13 years. In 1985 Dean moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.  While in Las Vegas he was a court bailiff for 3 years, security for Las Vegas schools for 3 and a deputy sheriff for 12 years.   His law enforcement career was marked by his dedication, compassion and empathy for others. ‍ In 2013, Dean married his beloved wife, Patricia Boss and they resided in Dayt
