Betty M. Elliott, 84, of Monmouth, IL, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Monmouth Nursing Home, Monmouth, IL. Betty was born May 8, 1940, in Monmouth, the daughter of Walter and Eva (Flood) Killip. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1958. Betty married Willard Lee, James R. Gaskill and later Cecil Elliott. Betty painted and wallpapered for many years. She also enjoyed fundraising for the Shop with a Cop program and the Fraternal Order of Police. She loved her dogs and to travel. Survivors include her daughter, Laura (Marvin) Cooper of Monmouth; grandchildren, Cassandra Griffin of Monmouth, Tilliea (Josh) Brown of Galesburg and Katie (Wayne Davis) Cooper of Monmouth; Jeff Gaskill, Koleece Spears, and Ty Gaskill; several great grandchildren; her brother Ronnie (Betty) Killip and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Cecil Elliott; son, James R.
