Patrick S. Vancil, 76, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 4:10 p.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at his home. He was born on March 16, 1948 in Moline, IL, the son of Louis and Wanda (Cole) Vancil. Pat was raised and educated in Rock Island and graduated from Rock Island High School in 1966. He then graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He later graduated from St. Ambrose College with his Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Pat proudly served in the United States Airforce; he was stationed in Iceland.  Pat married Lynn Miller on February 9, 1980 in Rock Island, IL; she survives.  Pat worked JI Case in administration for over 38 years until his retirement. After retiring he drove a school bus for United School District #304. Pat enjoyed spending time in the Ozarks and boating.
