Rodney W. McCann, 56, of Monmouth, IL passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025.Rod was born August 14, 1968, in Mendota, IL, the son of Jerry W. and Barbara R. (Budach) McCann. He was raised and educated in Earlville, IL.Rod married Elizabeth M. “Beth” McMahon on February 15, 2000, in Ottawa, IL and they recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, making a milestone in their years of dedication and commitment to each other.Rod worked side-by-side with his mom at Boxcar Pizza and spent time as a volunteer firefighter in Earlville. His passion for the open road led him to logging countless miles as a truck driver. He owned and operated Rod McCann Trucking in Monmouth for several years. One of his greatest joys was teaching his son to drive a semi and having the opportunity to truck alongside him, sharing the road and the experiences that came with it.In his spare time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping and fishing with his grandchildren.
